| Travelling Consultants FAQ» ∨ What is the Travelling Consultants Program? The Magazines Canada Travelling Consultants program matches magazine experts with Magazines Canada members across the country for exclusive, full day, one-on-one consultations. » ∨ My magazine is not a Magazines Canada member. Can I sign-up?No. You must be a member in good standing to participate in the Travelling Consultants Program. » ∨ How does the Program Work?Once your magazine submits an application for a consultation, Magazines Canada matches you with a consultant that is a fit for your topic choice as well as for magazine’s size and scope. Once your magazine is connected with your consultant, you will be asked to complete a detailed pre-consultation survey and will arrange a mutually agreeable consultation date. Following the consultation, you must submit a completed evaluation form, supplied by Magazines Canada. » ∨ How much does the program cost? The program costs $350 for member magazines. For more information, please contact Gwen Dunant, Program Manager, 416.504.0274 x225. » ∨ Can I pick my own consultant? No. The consultants are carefully selected for this program. A number of factors go into choosing the consultants; including, their expertise, willingness to share their knowledge and the familiarity with the magazine publishing environment. However, if you have a consultant you would like to work with, it is a good idea to suggest them. » ∨ How many people can I have attend? The travelling consultant consultations are most effective in a small group setting.
