Join Joyce Byrne, vice-president and associate publisher of Alberta Venture, for an information-packed session on how to create business media events that work for your brand. Joyce will cover how events and editorial can build on each other, how to reach the right audiences, knowing when—and how—to take an event to the next level, and much more.

Joyce Byrne is the vice-president and associate publisher of Venture Publishing, with a focus on Alberta Venture and Unlimited magazines, and a number of custom titles including Leap (Alberta Cancer Foundation), We Magazine (United Way of the Alberta Capital Region) and Aspire (MacEwan University School of Business). Prior to joining Venture in February 2005, she was publisher of the small but influential Toronto-based national title This Magazine. Joyce was a director of Magazines Canada from 2002-2012, sitting on the public affairs and small magazines committees, curriculum development task forces and the professional development committee, which she chairs (2007-present). Joyce is a frequent lecturer on business planning and marketing for magazines, and continues to be involved in the cultural magazine community through her volunteer work.
