Michael J. Fox is the Publisher and CEO of Garden Making, a quarterly published by Inspiring Media Inc. in Niagara-on-the-Lake. In 2012 he retired from Rogers Publishing where he had been Senior Vice President, Circulation & Development. He has been involved in circulation for more than 30 years, including 10 years leading consumer marketing at Rogers. He has helped foster the introduction of new channels of sale for magazine circulation, including championing the development of what is now Magazine Canada’s annual co-operative direct marketing subscription campaign. He is a director of Magazines Canada and serves on the Public Affairs and Postal Committees. Michael was the Circulation Management Association of Canada’s Magazine Marketer of the Year in 2002 and was named Magazines Canada Volunteer of the Year in 2005.
Eithne McCredie is Vice President of Abacus Circulation, a company which offers hands-on execution of circulation strategies for business media and consumer magazines, including Canadian Art, Maisonneuve, Canadian Running and International Architecture & Design.
Colleen Moloney is a partner and Director of The CM Group, circulation consultants, and an owner and Associate Publisher of SKYNEWS magazine. She is currently also employed at Rogers Publishing Limited as Director, Subscription Partnerships -- Women's Market. With twenty-eight years experience as a consumer marketing professional, Colleen has covered the spectrum of publications -- small, large, consumer, trade, city and regional, international, church press, general and special interest. She has directly managed the circulation operations of seven major publications, including Saturday Night, Outdoor Canada, Toronto Life, Today's Parent and Owl & Chickadee and has consulted on direct marketing, database marketing and circulation issues for more than 70 other titles. She served on the faculty of the Banff Publishing Workshop for five years and is asked to lecture regularly at various conferences and seminars.
Jason Patterson has been with TC Media for 14 years, in various roles within consumer marketing. Currently the online marketing manager in the consumer marketing group, he manages ecommerce activities for subscriptions and product sales across Transcontinental's English Language magazine franchises, which includes titles such as Elle Canada, Canadian Living and Style at Home.
Scott Wheatley is Director of Circulation at Canada Wide Media Limited. In his 30 plus years in the industry he has worked in both magazine and newspaper circulation across Western Canada. Scott lectures regularly on circulation for Simon Fraser Universities School of Communications Magazine Publishing Program and Capilano Universities Magazine Publishing Certificate Program. He is a member of Magazines Canada Postal Sub Committee and CCAB’s Canadian Magazine Audience Development and Fulfillment Professionals Advisory Committee. |
